I always wanted to take pre-wedding in Hong Kong for my customers, somehow I find Hong Kong to be a very nice city with different kind of things, like a big city, it was crowded with people and activities and it also has it’s nature side of it. Hong Kong is actually one of the best hiking or nature observation place.
During my stay in Hong Kong for a couple of days, I actually had a bit of time to visit central in Hong Kong with my camera around, I realized there are actually a lot of nice spots for photo taking just at central itself.
I will be going back to Hong Kong on the 10th Dec 2 days for another wedding, hopefully I will have time to check out more places and more nice food hehe.
Anyone interested to have their pre-wedding taken in Hong Kong? hahaha ;p
It is because of the wedding shoot that I did in Hong Kong, I actually met a videographer from “Golden Plaza”, well he actually told me that his charges is around HKD$2000, then I was thinking ” o my god, it is so cheap, how can they actually manage to survive with such price.” But then after I saw their morning express highlight, I totally understand why…. hahaha
What you pay is for sure what you will get… imagine the highlight is 15 mins long with so many boring talking inside and the transition and video effect was absolutely “ZERO”, from one cut to another without any transition at all!!!!!
The worse thing was that, the highlight supposed to focus more on the couple, instead it was focused more on their brothers and sisters, or maybe it is normal in Hong Kong, there is nowhere for me to know, but I find it a bit weird to accept this kind of video highlight.
It was also because of the non-stop shooting, I have absolutely no time to do my version of highlight, it is a shame really. But I shall do it and put as flash highlight here later. hehe
I just came back from a wedding photography shoot in Hong Kong. It was a very tiring day, from 7am till 11pm non-stop and I had to wake up at 5am to travel to the bride’s house. It is, however, a very enjoyable event, the couple is very loving and I had a lot to shoot to keep myself busy from getting bored haha.
Thanks a lot Benny & Jackie for inviting me to be part of your wedding, fly me all the way to Hong Kong and let me paint your wedding. I hope you have enjoyed as much as I do. And enjoy your stay in Hong Kong before going back to work hehe.
This is yet another church wedding that I did very recently. The location was at a very nice church too, but unlike all other catholics, this is a modern catholics church.

I have just re-vamp my web site AGAIN! Don’t quite like the previous one although I have paid for it. It’s a waste of money actually, getting a graphics designer that cannot do it properly. Anyway do check out my new web site ya.
I have just created a forum to talk about wedding, if anyone is interested, please feel free to post or list, it’s all free.
::: Edited –> Due to too many spam messages, I have decided to remove the forums. Sorry for that.
Today is a wonderful day for me because after a super long while into wedding industry, I was unable to find time to enter into any contest, in fact this is the first time I enter any photography contest in my life so far and I have 2 photos that won me award.
I have finally been placed at the AGWPJA (Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association) as a member of the guild because I have won these award. I am now an international multi-award winning member of AGWPJA.
It’s really nice to see my name next to CKuang (Singaporean Photographer) whose work I like a lot.
But somehow I don’t feel like in this contest, they should not have the portrait category as those are posed photos and should not be classified as photojournalistic, let alone artistic photojournalistic.
You can check out http://www.agwpja.com/search_results.php?query=Singapore to see my winning images.
hehe I’m too happy not to tell everyone.
It’s nice to go home once in a long while, but I just hope I can go home more often as my father has already reached his 70th birthday last December, somehow I feel like he looks much older when I went back home this time.
I decided to use this opportunity of shooting a wedding in Hong Kong this time to find out about how I can get more business there. At the end I didn’t get much information as time of my stay were limited but only managed to talk to one advertiser.
After the wedding shoot, I took my 2 girls to Hong Kong Disneyland and manage to stay a night over there, it’s a tiring 2 days as I am carrying my girl most of the time but it’s well worth it.
The only sad thing was that it was a short stay and how I wish I can be with my parent most of the time, even my girl felt the sadness.
I have been doing research on Hong Kong Wedding market for a while, and realised that most of the couples over there are not much different from Singapore, they will spend a lot of money on pre-wedding photos rather than wedding day photography, I guess, it will be a hard work if I really want to break into this kind of thinking and educate them on how important is their wedding day photography but not those meaningless pre-wedding photos.
